City Pool

Visit the St. George Municipal Pool and ride the “Hydro-Abyss”.  The thrill ride features ever-changing angles of the 330-foot-long exciting water ride. The facility also offers a pool ranging from 3 feet to 12 feet in depth.  There are tube rentals to use in the pool, 2 diving boards, a basketball hoop located on the north side of the pool,  and concessions to purchase.  There is a separate enclosed toddler pool for ages 3 and under.  The St. George Municipal Pool offers lap swimming, water aerobics, and facility reservations. All Swimmers 13 and under must be accompanied by an Adult (18 or Over) at all times.

City Pool Facility Reservations

From May 24th through Sept 21st the St. George City Municipal Pool will be available for Private Reservations.  The facility reservation includes full use of the facility, including the BBQ area and the hydro-tube. The BBQ Area may be reserved on its own during public open swim hours.

SHAC General

Do you allow outside food or drinks in the facility? or do you have a concession stand?
Yes to both. We allow you to bring outside food and drinks into the facility. We also have a concessions stand where you can purchase hot food, drinks, smoothies, candy and more. you are more than welcome to take the food into the pool deck area as long as you stay 10 feet away from the pool.
Do you have a hot tub at your facility?
No, unfortunately we do not.
What is the temperatures of the pools?
Our lap pool is kept at 79F
Our leisure pool is kept at 82F

How do I sign up for an insurance paid membership?
Your insurance should give you a Renew Active, Silver &fit /Active & fit code and you bring that code in with you and we will set up the membership as normal. 
We also offer silver sneakers we just cant set that membership up in our system it should already be set up before you sign in.

SHAC Children

How old do children need to be to swim unattended? 
Children 13 and under must be accompanied by a person 18 or older here at SHAC and the city pool.
What ages are required to wear a life jacket?
Anyone 3 or under is required to wear a lifejacket at all times in the water.
What age do you require a swim diaper?
As per Utah state health code Anyone 2 or under or that lacks control of defecation is required to wear a  swim diaper, reusable swim pants and their swimming suit.

Recreation Center

Are aerobic classes included in the price of admission?
Yes
Can I purchase a one month pass?
We only offer annual pass options, however you may cancel your membership at any time without a cancellation fee. 
Can I purchase a Tri-Pack membership for only one month?
No. Tri-Pack memberships are a one year minimum.
Do I have to be a member to use the facility?

No. We offer drop-in admittance for full-day use. 
Youth (up to 17 years old): $3.50
Adult (18-61 years old): $4.00
Senior (62 and above): $3.50

Do  I have to pay for my annual membership all upfront?
No. We do offer monthly billing on our annual memberships. 
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
No. We have equipment (i.e. basketballs, racquetball rackets and balls, billards, etc.) available at the front desk for your use at no extra cost. However, you are more than welcome to bring in your own equipment if you would like.
Do you offer showers?
Yes, we also offer locks for our lockers and full sized shower towels. Regular prices apply. 
How old do children need to be to use the Facility unattended?
At least 8 years old; although we recommend children have a parent or guardian in the facility with them until they are 16 years old.

Is the recreation center open on holidays?

The hours on these closures may vary and will be posted at the Rec Center before each holiday. The Center is also closed on Marathon Day (the first Saturday in October).

The Tri-Pack is a pass that grants admission into the St. George Recreation Center, the Sand Hollow Aquatic Center, and the St. George City Pool.
