George Washington Boulevard Environmental Study

YOU ARE INVITED TO A PUBLIC MEETING

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), in cooperation with the City of St. George, invites the public to participate in a Public Meeting for an environmental study that will evaluate extending George Washington Boulevard west from River Road towards Crosby Way. UDOT intends to prepare the environmental study in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act. There will be an online and in-person meeting opportunity.

ONLINE PUBLIC MEETING

When: Monday, May 20, 5-6 p.m.

IN-PERSON PUBLIC MEETING

When: Tuesday, May 21, 4-6 p.m.

Where: Saint James Park (741 St. James Lane, St. George UT 84790)

The meeting will be an open house format. Study representatives will be available to provide information and answer questions.

The same information will be provided in both meetings. Public meeting materials, including the online meeting recording and presentation will be available on this website on Tuesday, May 21.

FORMAL COMMENT PERIOD

Comments are welcome anytime throughout the study; however, the first formal comment period will be open until June 19, 2024. Any comments received during this time period will be included in the final environmental document. The public can provide formal comments in the following ways:

The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this study are being or have been carried out by UDOT pursuant to 23 USC 327 and a memorandum of understanding dated May 26, 2022, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and UDOT.
