St. George Police - Request Burn Permit

Burn Permit is for today only (March 20, 2010)

NOTICE: FOR BURN PERMITS IN WASHINGTON CITY YOU MUST CALL 673-4788 ***ON-LINE PERMITS FOR WASHINGTON CITY NOT ALLOWED AT THIS TIME***


The open burn season is now OPEN for incorporated cities only (EXCEPT WASHINGTON CITY), contact your local fire agency for approval for unincorporated areas

***NOTICE: BY ACCEPTING THIS PERMIT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY CIVIL AND/OR CRIMINAL ACTIONS THAT MAY OCCUR FROM LOOSING CONTROL OF YOUR BURNING, INCLUDING FIRE SUPPRESSION COSTS!

This BURN PERMIT is for basic yard clean up of weeds and trimmings. No trash, building materials or field burns are allowed. The burn must be in small piles and running water must be available at all times. Please do not leave the fire unattended at any time and if the wind comes up, you must extinguish it immediately. The fire must be out by sundown, except in the city of Washington it must be out by 4pm.

Note: A Burn Permit must be submitted online for each day you plan to burn.

Diamond Valley - On-line permits allowed beginning March 15th through May 15th, 2010. For large burns or questions Contact Chief Theobald at 862-9495

Hurricane/Laverkin- for large burns please contact the local fire department at 635-9663 "Option 3"

Leeds- for large burns or questions call Chief Lewis at 467-2911
