Firehouse Park
The proposed four acre neighborhood park is located at 1800 North Dixie Downs Rd. The Park Planning staff held two public meetings this past month to address concerns, gather input, and generate ideas from the community. Through the input that was gathered at these meetings we were able to create a concept plan for the park site. We then took the concept back to the public for final comments. On February 7th 2008, City Council agreed to have Winston and Associates Inc. develop the construction and engineering documents. The Park Planning staff will be working directly with Winston and Associates Inc. throughout the construction document preparation period. Construction of the Firehouse Park should start around late summer. Check the Park Planning website periodically for new project updates.
