Historic Preservation Commission

The Historic Preservation Commission consists of seven members of the community appointed by the Mayor for 4 year terms to promote historic preservation within the city, review nominations for City Landmark designation or for National Register listing, and also review development and changes within the 6 block Downtown Historic District. The power and duties of the Historic Preservation Commission are set forth in Chapter 24 of the City Zoning Ordinance, which is Title 10 of the city code.

The Commission meets on an 'as-needed' basis but generally 4- 6 times per year. The meetings are open to the public and are held in the St George City office building at 175 East 200 North Street.
