CITY OF ST. GEORGE
CONSOLIDATED ANNUAL PERFORMANCE EVALUATION REPORT (CAPER)
PROGRAM YEAR 2007-2008

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on or about August 8, 2008, the City will submit a Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER) for Program Year 2007-2008 to the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD). The CAPER is a financial and public benefit summary of the City’s use and expenditures of federal Community Development Block Grant funds. The report evaluates how the City used these federal funds during Fiscal Year 2007-2008 to carry out priorities identified in the City’s adopted Consolidated Plan (2004-2009). The report also evaluates how the City uses other resources to leverage federal dollars in carrying out the broader vision of community needs and priorities.

Citizens and interested parties are invited to review the City’s CAPER at the Community Development Department, St. George City Hall, 175 East 200 North, St. George. The CAPER is also available on the City’s website www.sgcity.org/commdev. Written comments regarding the effectiveness of programs and activities which were funded during 2007-2008 may be made to the City beginning on July 24, 2008 and continuing until August 7, 2008. A summary of the written public comments received will be included in the CAPER submitted to HUD.

On Thursday, August 7, 2008, the City Council will hold a Public Hearing to provide final comments for any additional changes to be made to the Draft CAPER. PUBLIC NOTICE FOR CITY OF ST. GEORGE
DRAFT FISCAL YEAR 2008- 2009 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN


This notice is for residents of the City Of St.George to have the opportunity to comment on the draft Fiscal Year (FY) 2008-09 Action Plan (FY 2008-09 begins on July 1, 2008 and ends on June 30, 2009). The FY 2008-09 Action Plan outlines activities to be undertaken to address community development, economic development, housing and homeless needs listed in the five-year Consolidated Plan adopted by the City Council in August 2004. This Action Plan is the fifth year of the Consolidated Plan. It identifies a total of $474,137 in entitlement Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) and the projected use of those funds in FY 2008-09. A description of the proposed activities to be undertaken next fiscal year by the City to meet Consolidated Plan priorities are listed below:



The comment period for the 2008-09 Annual Action Plan begins on April 2, 2008 and ends Thursday, May 1, 2008. A public hearing is scheduled for May 1, 2008 at a regularly scheduled City Council Meeting at 5:00 p.m. City Council’s final approval of the Annual Action Plan is scheduled for the same Council meeting after the public hearing is closed.

The Annual Action Plan is available online on the City’s website www.sgcity.org/commdev. Copies of the Annual Action Plan will also be available at the City of St. George, Community Development Department located at 175 E. 200 North in St. George.
